  3. I crept along the winding fence,
  4. Just searching for a weakened post,
  5. Or failing wire. With no pretense
  6. Your love is what I needed most.

  8. I searched among the tangled vines,
  9. In hope to find a loosened nail;
  10. That I might enter then to find,
  11. You'd searched for me to no avail.
  12.  
  13. But when I heard your hearts reply,
  14. It caught me by surprise to find;
  15. That you had searched as hard as I,
  16. For some last hope of love divine.
